Computer Requirements

Open Yoga University’s online courses are delivered through the learning management system. To effectively use this system, users must have a computer with high-speed Internet. Speeds of at least 5 Mbps are recommended, as is a wired connection. Students must also have the most recent versions of both Skype and Google Chrome (free downloads below). Additionally, students must ensure that their computers meet the requirements set out by OYU. To verify that your computer is acceptable, please review the System Requirements provided below.

In addition to the asynchronous material delivered via online classrooms, many courses will also incorporate synchronous elements via Skype meetings. To participate fully in live classrooms, users are required to use Skype, as well as a headset with a microphone, and a webcam.

Be advised, if your computer does not adhere to the system requirements for our learning management system, you will experience a degradation of content. Online classrooms may lose tool functionality or not work at all.
